Family time

This is the second Sunday in a row that we've skipped out on a service at Vineyard so that we could have a lazy morning together as a family. Its been great and I really treasure times like these with my favorite boy and girl. Our weekends have been busy. Blinn's weeks have been even busier and when Sunday morning rolls around all we want to do is rest and be together. Blinn's at work right now, the seventh day in a row for him. He's supposedly only there for an hour or so, but I have a feeling it will turn into more than that. The poor chap needs a break. Badly. I bet after today, he will have worked close to 60 hours this week. Not cool. Not only does Blinn need a break to clear his mind and heart in ways that are meaningful to him, but we all need time to recharge. I need some time away with just my husband and the three of us need a break from the mundane together.

Sometime soon... I hope. Maybe there will be a weekend or even just a day this fall where we'll be able to escape. Until then, I'll hold carefree Sunday mornings like today's extra close to my heart. Family time is precious and I'm thankful for the simple sweet moments we get.
