Things to remember

How is my daughter nearing two years old? This month has been so full of changes within her that I haven't even bothered keeping the usual list on the fridge. Every day there's like ten new things to be amazed by, its fascinating! Here are a few things I do want to remember about life with my twenty month old.

Music
  • She likes Adele, Rolling in the Deep to be exact. She flaps her arms at her side and grins while watching this video. So funny. I'm okay with it, girlfriend can SING and I'll listen to her stuff on repeat (for a little while, at least).
  • She also likes Justin Bieber's Baby, but I refuse to give into his crap. His prepubescent voice tryin to sing about the loss of a first love. What?! We prefer Eleventh Hour's version from last season of The Sing Off. Maybe the lead singer from that group is a little much, but I liked em and Z is just as happy with their version.
  • Her fave is Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros' Home. She belts out "HOOOOOOOOOME!" in a deep, raspy voice randomly and then I break into a verse or chorus and she dances and her face lights up. I love her love of music. I hope its something deeply rooted within her for ages to come.
Papa
  • With each passing week, the precious bond between my two loves grows and its beautiful. There are some times that Z prefers Blinn to me and its great. A few weeks ago out of the blue she looked at me as though she'd just had an epiphany and said "Papa, favorite man!" Are you kidding me? How many kids know the word favorite at this age, let alone how to use it in a sentence? It makes Blinn melt every time she says it and I love being a fly on the wall to watch their exchange.
