One moment in time

This morning Zachari and I shared a really sweet time together. We were downtown a little early for our lunch date with the Fez girls so we hung out a cool fountain nearby. We snacked on Cheerios, she climbed in and out of the chairs, checked out the fountain up close, and then started doing the sign for milk and said "A miwt? A miwt?" So, it was time to nurse! We sat on a bench overlooking the fountain, the river and parts of downtown Columbus and it was like time froze for about twenty minutes. I sang Patty Griffin songs and rocked my baby to sleep while she nuzzled in at my breast. It was unseasonably cool for an Ohio August morning so I used my extra shirt to cover her goosebumps and shield her eyes from sunlight. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of her sleeping peacefully because just as I reached for my camera, she woke up. I do have other pictures though and I'm posting them here because I want to remember the simplicity and beauty of our day.
