The Boy had been wanting to take a family hike all day long. After naps for me and the littles, some time for his latest woodworking project, a conversation clearing up the mess from earlier in the day, then dinner at Cornerstone Cafe, we landed at Whetstone Park. I put the word hike in quotes before because my idea of hiking isn't something in the city on flat ground wearing a skirt. The Boy doesn't care though. He's cool with the crazy hikes out west or in the mountains or a hike just a few miles down the road from our house. A true outdoors enthusiast, I suppose. I'm such a city girl sometimes!
Anywho, the temperature was a bit chilly, but bearable in a short skirt and sandals, the grass was lush and green, the beautiful sun was setting and casting amazing light on all we saw. We snapped a few iPhone pics and I love how they turned out. My sweet fam is such a gift. I'm thankful for the mundane, the special, and the simple Saturday nights out at the park.
