Jonathan: 5 months

Baby Boy, I love you.

  • On April 30th you rolled from on your back on the bed to your tummy down into the Co-sleeper. Never a dull moment with you, Bud!
  • On May 5th you found your feet and they are your dearest companions these days!
  • You're doing better in Bumbo, though I don't think you'll fit in it much longer due to your sizable, squishable, adorable thighs!
  • Your fave "toy" is burp cloth or a rag to suck on.
  • We've affectionately given you the nickname of Happy Harvey. Silly as it might be, it fits because you're such a jolly boy!
  • You reach for everything and you actually get what you want on the first try most of the time now.
  • You really enjoy the Baby Einstein "iPod" toy that Jonah gave you. When you're fussy, Zachari often finds the toy, turns on the lights and music and you calm down.
  • You often try pulling yourself up if you're in the semi-sitting position in the Graco stroller. Not yet Baby, not yet!
  • As with most little ones at your age, everything goes in the mouth and there's so much drool!
  • Sometimes you wake up in the night to talk/yell/giggle - all in the dark, all by yourself - and then you drift back to sleep. Its precious.
  • You can be seen pulling Z's hair with a sinister chuckle that often ends in both of you kids laughing together. Love it.
  • Sister makes him laugh the hardest of anyone, often by fake sneezing!
  • You moan to stay awake or as you're falling asleep and/or when full of milk. So. Presh.
  • Your plugged tear ducts are doing much better.
  • May 10th was your first night in your own bed/room and you did wonderfully! You only woke up twice!
  • On May 11th you attended your first wedding, Trevor and Katie's. It was also our longest time apart when we left you at the Reids' for the reception. As I knew you would, you handled it like a champ and Brooke said you were such an easy baby.

And that's just it, Little One, you truly are a pretty easy baby. I'm so thankful you've been added to our bunch and I'm really looking forward to how you'll change in the month to come! Love you, Jonathan!
