Zachari is two!

Yesterday was a wonderful day full of laughter, smiles and love. I got to celebrate my girl all day long and enjoy the smallest pleasures of life from her two year old perspective. She is such a blessing.

The girl received her first birthday gift, a tea set from Wendy on Monday. When she woke up on her actual birthday there was a package from our neighbors and soon after, the Palmers dropped off a gift: a pink sparkly tutu that fits perfectly. Zachari wanted it on now. Never mind that she was wearing jammies. Tutus go with everything, apparently.

Matt went to work from 4 to 11 a.m. so that he could spend the bulk of the day with the birthday girl. That in and of itself was a gift because we thought he'd have to work a normal day which meant he'd have to miss the party and probably wouldn't see her before bedtime. When he came home the car was stuffed with 10 helium balloons and Zachari could not contain her excitement! Matt could hear her yelling from outside and when he came in the door, this was the reaction.

She was thrilled about her presents from Mama and Papa. For the grand total of $8.57 she received a magic wand (crafted by Papa), sunglasses, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, 846 stickers - no exaggeration, and a tutu (crafted by Mama, not pictured). We're a thrifty, crafty fam and the longer these little gadgets please our girl, the better!

A thank you hug for Papa.
Melt. My. Heart.

After her bath she wanted to wear the tutu again...
just in a different way.
Patiently waiting for her party guests to arrive.
The look of amazement and adoration on Matt's
face makes me fall in love with him all over again.
SO into her birthday cupcake!
